Now, anyone can do the same with just a few clicks using Veeam Explorer for Oracle — even with zero Oracle expertise.

Introducing Veeam Explorer for Oracle (VEO) VEO allows you to work with either Virtual Machine Snapshots or actual database backups. As the name suggests, VEO allows you to explore your snapshots and backups like you would using a file explorer on your PC. It does not matter what operating system or hypervisor is used including Oracle’s OVM.

For database-level recovery, you do not need to fully restore and start the virtual machine hosting your Oracle server. Instead, you can use Veeam recovery capabilities to mount the selected restore point of Oracle server VM to Veeam backup server and then specify how you want your database to be restored.

We won’t bore you to tears with the details, but there is a significant amount of capability in the VEO solution that results in you having strong protection of what is likely to be a mission critical system in your organisation.
